Barney is a certified master in the arts of extravagant and elegant designs, having studied in the Royal College of Art in London, Parson’s School of Design & The University of Waterloo, and with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He has been named one of the Top 25 Influential Chinese in Global fashion by Forbes China, and Designer of the Year by Harper's Bazaar and Moët et Chandon.

Barney's flawless designs has reached worldwide status. With gowns worn by the likes of Michelle Yeoh, Neve Campbell, and Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. Designs also appeared on television during the Miss Hong Kong 2019 and as a guest judge on America's Next Top Model.
