Diego Tarabal is an emerging menswear designer from Uruguay.
His style is about a fetishized hyper masculinity, creating a universe where people can relate to a deeper message of inclusivity, emotion, and acceptance. He is inspired by the gay culture of the 70s and 80s decades, which have helped shape the
community.
Collaborating with Knitup, he presents HUG+ as an extension of his MA Collection at University of Westminster, in London.
He expresses the concept of hug+/hiv+, radiating positive vibes and a warm embrace, while using the collection as a vessel to continue breaking the stigma surrounding HIV.
